Tim Schaat MD ABFM, ABAM, is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Schaat decided to start this practice after years of experience in his areas of specialty so that he could provide the quality of care required for those in recovery to best succeed.  Dr Schaat is a brilliant physician with a passion for addiction treatment and family medicine. He has years of experience managing Suboxone therapy for both acute detoxification and outpatient treatment. He is one of the few physicians to provide Naltrexone Pellets for Opioid Dependence as a cost effective alternative  to long acting injectable Naltrexone.


Michael Desjardins APRN PMHNP-BC is a board certified Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in psychiatric, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of mental health disorders. He brings a wealth of experience to CMAP ranging from inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment and detoxification, to quality control and neuroscience research. Michael’s psychiatric expertise combined with Dr Schaat’s family practice background offers the full spectrum of integrated care to treat the mind and body at Comprehensive Medical, Addiction and Psychiatric Services.


 Glade B. Curtis, MD, MPH, FACOG, has over 33 years of experience in private medical practice and is Board Certified in OB/GYN. Dr. Curtis earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2002 and has 5 years experience as a medical consultant with the State of Utah Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing. Dr. Curtis has co-authored 18 books related to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare including the best-selling “Your Pregnancy Week By Week, 8th edition”; “Your Baby’s First Year Week By Week, 3rd edition,” by Perseus Books with more than 5 million copies sold for all titles. Dr. Curtis served as a spokesperson for Oral B© for “Pregnancy and Dental Care” and as an expert on pregnancy for the Life Channel (gather.com). Dr. Curtis is a medical coding education specialist, and was the Education Manager and Medical Director of AAPC for 4 years.

Dr. Curtis has been involved with Professionals in Recovery for 24 years. He has been instrumental in leading and establishing PIR groups involving medical professionals including doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and other professionals. He has been a clinician  for a  residential treatment center in the Intermountain West for over 3 years. He joined the CMAP team during their formative year bringing expertise in treating pregnant women with addiction-related illnesses. He works in conjunction with OB/GYNs to provide comprehensive treatment options for his patients.


Melissa Glick, PA-C has been a nationally certified Physician Assistant since 2001. She graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a bachelors degree in Neuroscience Psychology. She obtained her Masters degree as a Physician Assistant from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, associated with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She had previously worked in the Harvard Medical system in Boston at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before moving to Utah in 2009. She is an avid skier and has loved the mountains of Utah since she first visited at the age of 6. She is active in the Salt Lake recovery community and volunteers for the Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness. She is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is currently on the Speakers Bureau with Alkermes for Vivitrol.
